(5)123kV Impulse Voltage Divider for Omicron AG | Grid Measurement
Omicron AG, a worldwide company headquartered in Klaus, Austria, is renowned for providing services and solutions to support safe, secure and reliable electrical energy generation, transmission and distribution. To evaluate of their customer’s vacuum circuit breaker under the actual operating conditions, they needed a device able to measure accurately over a large frequency band as well as high frequency transients. The device needed to be able installed outdoor, continuously operating and providing flawlessly accurate output without being affected by the environmental factors. None of the existing measuring equipment available on the market was able to cover all these stringent requirements, except for CONDIS’s custom built CR divider.
36kV Impulse Voltage Divider for Artemes | Grid Measurement
ARTEMES GmbH, a company located in Eibiswald, Austria, offers measurement instruments for power quality monitoring and HV diagnostics. They also provide services like measurements and evaluation according to international standards and norms. To identify the source of damage on pumped hydro generator located in an indoor MV substations, ARTEMES needed a voltage transformer capable of measuring voltage signals over a large frequency band at several locations on the MV busbars. Due to space restrictions, the probes needed to be compact, have the ability to be mounted horizontally and to sustain low frequency mechanical vibrations, as they were installed close to the rotating generator. None of the existing measuring equipment available on the market was able to cover all these stringent requirements, except for CONDIS’s custom built CR divider.
CR Divider
Drawing on its vast experience in voltage divider design and manufacturing, CONDIS‘ damped CR Divider offers a proven and futur proof solution for high bandwidth and transient voltage measurement on HV network.

IEC 61850 Substation - Romande Energie
Romande Energie, a DSO operating in Western Switzerland, is a key player in the national energy sector. As an early adopter of the IEC 61850 standard, the company has implemented a structured top-down engineering process, progressively rolled out since 2009. For over 20 years, Romande Energie has used XPG in many of its distribution and generation facilities to exchange data with its control centre and external partners. This reference sheet focuses on the use of XPG in HV and HV/MV substations, where it supports multiple functions and has met the evolving needs of digitalisation and IEC 61850 standardisation.
IT/OT monitoring with XPG
Historically, information technologies (IT) and operational technologies (OT) have developed separately, with separate goals and in separate areas of application. Yet there is much to be gained by linking, aligning, and integrating them in both areas. Integration of IT and OT is taking place in many sectors and industries. With the increasing use of mature smart grid technologies in electrical power distribution, IT and OT applications are increasingly being used together to improve the performance of distribution networks. Potential benefits include transforming unplanned outages into anticipated ones.

XPG - Substation Gateway & HMI
For over 20 years, the XPG solution has been used in high-voltage and high/medium-voltage substations. XPG has been developed in close collaboration with dsos and TSOs. Therefore, it responds pragmatically to the needs and challenges of substation integrators and DSOs operators.
XPG Gateway / RTU
XPG is a modular, secure and scalable solution installed in substations and other grid infrastructures for remote control, operation and management. It collects signals, data and files, processes or converts them to exchange them with a network control centre or other centralised solutions. XPG is available in various equipment sizes or virtual machine.
XPG Gateway DER - Deutsch
XPG Gateway DER - English
This solution allows DSOs to monitor and control energy injections into their grid via solar systems installed at their customers’ premises. An interface is set up to integrate this data into the DSOs SCADA and data is collected by XPG-IG2LTE-Gateways. The control units of solar systems communicate in modbus with gateways while data transmissions to the control centre are done via a supported protocol chosen by the DSO such as IEC 60870-5-104.
XPG Virtual Gateway
The digital transformation of power grid infrastructures demands flexible, scalable, and secure solutions. The virtual machine version of XPG offers all functionalities of the physical one, with the
added benefits of software deployment: speed, agility, cost reduction, and simplified integration into IT environments.
