Read Dr. Werner Schöffer's, CEO at Artemes, interview on their experience with CONDIS' CR Dividers.
DI Dr. Werner Schöffer, CEO, Sales & Product Management at Artemes GmbH kindly accepted to answer our questions in relation to their use of our CR Divider and their overall satisfaction as CONDIS’ customers.
What is your use case for CR Dividers?
Artemes is a supplier of measurement equipment, as well as a service provider for the power industry, with a focus on transient phenomena monitoring and analysis. Pushed by new trends in the energy sector (such as decentralised energy production or transportation of electricity over long distance), those phenomena are evolving to be ever faster, more intense and pronounced. We, Artemes, develop and produce secondary measurement and monitoring equipment ourselves, but we rely on reliable primary sensors with good measurement performance, to scale down the high primary voltages to low voltage signals suited for our devices.
Why do you use our product?
Conventional measurement technologies have strong limitations in terms of bandwidth and resonance phenomena. In addition, the measurement accuracy of lightning impulses is an important criterion for us. CONDIS’ products fulfil all our requirements in terms of high bandwidth, and also in terms of their accuracy starting from low frequencies, which allows us to perform power quality analysis.
How content are you with CONDIS’ CR Dividers?
The CR Dividers do not only convince in terms of their dielectric design and insulation coordination, but especially in terms of their transmission behaviour. Furthermore, we require dividers that are both suitable for use in indoor, as well as outdoor installations and have long connection cables to transmit the secondary voltages to our equipment. Those requirements are well covered by the CONDIS’ CR Divider design.
How do the CR Dividers help you achieve your customer’s missions?
Our main task is the detection of perturbing signals, be it continuous or transient ones. Using CONDIS’ CR Dividers, we can cover the need for high frequency and harmonic measurement, to provide reliable data and analysis to our customers, in return helping them to detect issues before they lead to outages of the network. This helps us to contribute to securing reliable and future proof electrical power grids.
